Arriving in Jeddah in late 1964, the aircraft took on the new identity "HZ-ADA" and flew freight and passenger schedules for Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Little is known of her time in the Middle East, but frequent reference is made in airline histories of the important role this aircraft played in developing aviation in the region.
In 1971 the aircraft was given to Yemenia Airlines of Sana'a, registered as 4W-ABQ. Even less is known of this period, but the aircraft is sufficiently fondly remembered by crews and airline officials of the time that at the Farnborough Airshow in 2008 a representative of the company expressed a desire to be reunited with the aircraft.
Towards the end of the decade the aircraft was flown only occasionally but coped well in the preservative desert climate.
