After a decade in the desert, 45497 had lost some of her polish but rescue was at hand.
UK based Instone Air Line needed a capable long range aircraft to support its growing operations and in 1987 Instone returned the aircraft to her original home. So began 17 years of unbroken commercial operations.
G-APSA worked almost non-stop under permanent charter to freight specialists Air Atlantique, carrying mixed cargos to destinations all over Europe, North Africa and the Mediterranean.
The 1990s were undoubtedly the heyday of her return to northern skies. Her long range, dependable operation and 13 tonne cargo capacity made her ideal for the ad hoc market.
During this period G-APSA carried everything from jet engines to racing cars and with her hard working crews earned a reptutation for getting the job done.
