From the beginning of the 1960s G-APSA established herself as a firm favourite of discerning air travellers, opening schedules to Innsbruck, Rimini, Nice and Mallorca. As the busy decade opened she was breaking records for utilisation, flying over 3,500 hours in a single twelve month period.
In 1961 she flew regular transatlantic routes, while long range government charters saw her in exotic locations across the world.
1962 was a year of global round trips in support of the "Blue Streak" project - an extraordinary chapter in Britain's short-lived space program that led eventually to the European Ariane rocket.
G-APSA flew west on these trips, out via the Middle East and Maldives and back via San Francisco. On her return she flew for the shipping line Cunard in a joint venture with Eagle.
Finally, in 1964, she was sold to Saudi Arabian Airlines.
